OUTREACH

The St. Andrew’s Outreach Commission is one of the most active within the Diocese of Southeast Florida.  The generous donations of time and resources by St. Andrew’s members and friends allow our outreach efforts to continue.  We welcome and encourage all members of the community to participate. If you would like more information in regard to our program in general, or one of the specific areas of participation, please call the Parish Office at 305-238-2161.

CURRENT EVENTS:

Haiti Food Drive:     We are currently collecting food for the Good Samaritan School in Carrefour, Haiti.  Suggested items:  rice, dried beans, macaroni and cheese, powdered milk, dry soup mixes, large cans of meat, oatmeal and corn meal.

Food Outreach Roundtable Meetings:     Initial meeting on 3/3/08 with 4 area churches represented.  Objective was to get information on what the other churches were doing so we could improve our food pantry.  Second meeting on 6/2/08 had 13 area churches and organizations represented with the goal of sharing ideas and information to better serve the community.  Next meeting is scheduled for September 8, 2008, 7:00 p.m. at St. Louis Catholic Church, Hospitality C Room, Pinecrest.
