Home Coming Sunday is the day we welcome old and new faces after a long summer vacation. A bounce house, barbeque, special door prizes and even a fire juggler are part of the festivities. Homecoming Sunday is the perfect time to rally and discover all that St. Andrew's has to offer.

St. Francis Day and the Blessing of the Animals

St. Francis of Assisi is the patron Saint of Animals. Bring your pets for a special blessing in honor of St. Francis of Assisi. Fellowship for all and treats for pets and people will follow.

Dine-in Foyers

Dine-in Foyer Groups are small groups of 8-10 persons sharing simple meals and fellowship. The intention is to have fun and provide an opportunity to meet each other and/or become better acquainted. Each group meets approximately once a month for a simple meal and relaxed conversation in the homes of members

Dine-out Foyer Groups are similar to the Dine-in Foyer Groups however they prefer to share a meal at a local restaurant.





Breakfast Under the Threes

These 'free will offering' breakfasts are a special time of fellowship and good food.  Volunteers plan, shop, and prepare these delicious meals to persuade you to sit, relax and visit with us on a lazy Sunday. Please feel free to bring a friend.

 


Coffee Hour Hosts

Parishioners provide the pastries (either homemade or store bought) served on Sunday mornings following the 8 a.m. and 10 a.m. services. These volunteers also assist with serving coffee. Early service helpers set up;  late service helpers clean up.

Newcomers are invited to attend a welcome reception at the Rector's house.  Please join us for one of these informal wine and cheese gatherings. It is the ideal time to get to know members of St. Andrew's clergy, the Vestry and parish leaders.

Advent Wreath-Making

Advent is the season of the church when we prepare ourselves for Jesus’ coming. We begin this cheerful evening with a potluck dinner. Following dinner we make our own Advent wreaths to help us mark the weeks until Christmas and the birth of Christ. Come join us as the Christmas season begins. Cost is $25 and sign-ups will be posted in November.


Christmas Party/Pageant Rehearsal

The Annual Christmas tree decorating and caroling party is combined with the Pageant rehearsal. Each family is asked to bring an ornament to be placed on our tree, as well as a finger food appetizer to share. Pizza and holiday crafts are supplied for the children. The nursery will be available if needed. Come sing some Carrols and have some Christmas cheer. 


Annual Meeting & Picnic

At the annual meeting we elect members of the Vestry and present the annual budget. We also review the ministries and programs of the past year. A picnic and festivities follow.



Easter Egg Dyeing and Hunt

The Sunday School teachers and parents organize this traditional Easter event. Kids of all ages dye Easter eggs on Saturday, and on Sunday morning they search the church grounds for the eggs and treats. 



Mothering Sunday Brunch

Mothering Sunday is an old Christian festival that was celebrated throughout Europe in the middle of Lent. At St. Andrew's we recognize and honor the mothers in our lives during a delightful brunch. We also traditionally honor a woman who is not a parishioner

 


Nickel Social

This annual pot-luck supper and social is a great evening of fun for all ages. Veteran “socialites” know to come early and place “bids” so they can enjoy the meal before the auction starts. All bids are a nickel and attendees can buy tickets at the door. There is also a special table for “higher end” items.

 

Seder Supper

Experience a traditional Seder meal with a delicious menu featuring grilled lamb kebobs and green vegetables. A ceremonial Seder plate including haroset, wine, matzah, a lamb bone, bitter herbs, horseradish and salt water will be presented.   There are prizes for the children and fun for all.

 

Shrove Tues. Pancake Supper

Also known as “Pancake Day," "Fat Tuesday" and "Mardi Gras." Shrove Tuesday  is a day to feast in preparation for Lent, and a time of fasting.  St. Andrew's Youth group and the Sunday School students do the cooking for this evening.



Mother's Day Brunch

Treat your mother without the hassles and cost of going out to a restaurant. Space is limited, so sign up early. The price includes brunch and a mimosa for mom and dad.

Take Dad out for lunch at to celebrate his special day.  Tickets will be available outside the church….$5.00 per person and children under 5 are free.
