Education for Ministry (Efm)

EfM helps the faithful encounter the breadth and depth of the Christian tradition and bring it into conversation with their experiences of the world as they study, worship, and engage in theological reflection together. Classes start in the Fall and last a year.

Forums

Forums are educational talks and conversations. They are held some Sundays, betwen the services. Past topics have been, The Episcopal Church during the American Revolution, Advent Readings through Art, and The Book of Revelation and The Wizard of Oz.

STEPHEN MINISTRY

Stephen Ministers are volunteer lay persons trained to assist the clergy in the care and nurturing of a congregation. As a lay person, a Stephen Minister has received more than 50 hours of instruction in providing confidential care through a Christian perspective.

BOOK GROUP

Oral History by Lee Smith, A Tree Grows in Brooklyn by Betty Smith, The Jane Austen Book Club, The History of Love, Big Stone Gap, and Firefly Lane are just some of the books that this lively group has enjoyed discussing. Read a good book and join this group. 

LENTEN PROGRAM

Wednesday evenings in Lent we have Eucharist, followed by a simple soup supper, good fellowship, and an exploration of a Lenten theme through study.
